Checklist
Prior to enrollment, a student must complete the admission process by accomplishing the following (you may want to print this):
Incoming Freshmen:
1.Complete this Application for Admission, by answering all questions. If an item is not applicable to you, please mark N/A. A $25 non-refundable application fee must accompany your application. Your application will not be processed without your $25 application fee. Checks or money orders should be made payable to MidAmerica Nazarene University (or MNU). Application and payment may also be submitted online at http://www.mnu.edu/admissions/online_app.pl.
2. Submit results of the American College Test (ACT) examination or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). MNU's ACT code is 1445 and SAT code is 6437.
3. Request your high school to submit a final, official high school transcript, showing date of graduation, and rank in class or its equivalent, to the Office of Admissions. An official transcript is signed by a designated school official and stamped/sealed with an authorized school embossed seal or stamp.
4. Provide the counselor/teacher reference form (PDF 301.01 KB Help ) and character reference form (PDF 302.93 KB Help ) to the appropriate individuals as described on the forms. These forms are postage-paid self-mailers.
Submit an MNU Financial Aid Application and FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid), available after January 1 each year.
5. The following additional fees and provided forms are required before the admissions file is complete:

6. For incoming freshmen, acceptance and the awarding of any academic scholarships will be offered after official test scores are received. For transfer students, acceptance and the awarding of any academic scholarships will be offered after all official transcripts from previous colleges are received and evaluated by the Office of Registrar.
7. Students are strongly encouraged to attend one of two Summer Orientation, Advising & Registration (SOAR) events offered in the summer. Students attending a SOAR event are allowed to pre-register & finalize in the summer. A time is allowed during this event for any necessary tests, such as, CLEP testing, ACT testing, and placement tests. Those attending SOAR are able to receive roommate assignments, get their post office box, etc. If unable to attend either SOAR events, these things can also be accomplished at the beginning of New Student Orientation in the fall.
