Baseball Coaching Staff
Coach Thompson is starting his 3rd season as the Head Baseball Coach at MidAmerica Nazarene University.
Thompson spent three seasons as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at the Air Force Academy, an NCAA Div. I school. Under Thompson's tutelage, AFA's pitching staff struck out 151 batters in Mountain West Conference play in 2005, third-highest total in MWC play for the Falcons.
Prior to his stint at the Academy, Thompson served three years under Air Force head coach Mike Hutcheon at Bethel College (IN) as an assistant coach. He led the pitching staff at Bethel to two consecutive conference championships. During his tenure at Bethel, the pitching staff garnered several accolades, including being ranked second nationally in earned-run average in 2002, the year Bethel won the NCCAA National Championship. The 2003 conference champions were also ranked nationally in strikeouts and hits per game allowed. Three Bethel pitchers were also selected in the Major League Baseball draft under his guidance.
A native of Cowden, IL, Thompson graduated from Bethel in 2000 where he was a Mid Central College All Conference, All Region, and an NAIA All-American right-handed pitcher. Coach Thompson and his wife, Kristie, live in Olathe with their 3-year old son Ty, and 10-month old son Kade.

Coach Ramseyer begins his 2nd year as an assistant for the Pioneers. He is a 2006 graduate of MNU and played two years as a first baseman for the Pioneers. In his two years at MNU, he was 2005 MNU Newcomer of the Year, 2005 and 2006 2nd Team All Conference, 2006 Region V All Academic Team, 2006 NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete, & 2006 MNU Strength and Conditioning Male Athlete of the Year. Coach Ramseyer lives in Overland Park.

Coach Alison starts his 6th season as an assistant for the Pioneers. He is a 2002 graduate of MNU where he was a 2-year starter in the outfield. During his two years as a Pioneer, Coach Alison was named as MNU Newcomer of the Year, MNU Most Inspirational, HAAC Scholar Athlete, HAAC Honorable Mention All Conference, NAIA Region V Scholar Athlete, NCCAA All Region 2nd Team, and NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete. Coach Alison lives in Olathe.

Coach Jenkins begins his 2nd year as an assistant at MNU. He is a 2001 graduate of Bethel College (IN) where he played baseball for three seasons. Coach Jenkins was an assistant at Bethel for the '03, '05 & '06 seasons, and assisted at the Air Force Academy (CO) in '04. Coach Jenkins is also the Sports Information Director at MNU. He lives in Olathe with his wife, Christa, and their 1-year old son Isaac.

This is Coach Lott's first season on the MNU coaching staff. He comes from the Seattle area where for the last four years he has worked with various high school spring, summer, and fall programs; serving in various capacities including head coach, assistant coach, and instructor. He broke into the college coaching scene this summer working as an assistant to Coach Ramseyer with the Athletes in Action NYCBL team in Bolivar, NY. Drew has a bachelor's degree from Trinity Western University and will have his MBA from the University of Phoenix completed in May. Coach Lott lives in Overland Park.
