Coach Stugart is entering his third season at MidAmerica Nazarene University after leading the Pioneers to a record of 9-3 in 2007. Coach Stugart came to MNU in 2006 after serving on staff at the University of Northern Colorado since 1999. He was the defensive line coach prior to being named defensive coordinator in 2003. While at Northern Colorado, Stugart was part of two North Central Conference championship teams and two post-season appearances. The Bears made an NCAA Division II quarterfinal appearance in 1999 and an NCAA Division II semi-final appearance in 2002, where they fell to eventual nation champion Grand Valley State. In 2003, his first year as defensive coordinator, the UNC defense ranked 16th in the nation in total defense (284.5 ypg), while allowing only 16.4 points per game to rank 13th in the country.
In his last four years at UNC, Stugart produced three All-Americans: current MNU defensive line coach Paul Hubbard, who led the nation in sacks his senior year with 16.5; current Washington Redskins safety Reed Doughty, who was drafted in the sixth round; and Anthony Dunn, who served separate stints with the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans before going on to be named Rookie of the Year of the Arena Football League for the Colorado Crush.
In his first season at MNU, Stugart helped lead two Pioneers to All-American Honors: HAAC Player of the Year James Perry, and defensive end Mike Deavours.
A native of Greeley, Colorado, Stugart played football at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. He earned a bachelor's degree in communication from APU in 1994 and a master's degree in communication from UNC in 2003. Coach Stugart and his wife, Angie, have two kids: Gunner Lance & Gracie Marie.

Returning for his 31st year on the Pioneer coaching staff, Coach Fields also serves as the MNU Athletic Facilities Coordinator. Coach Fields has been a part of 3 conference championships at MNU. Pulling double duty is not a new thing for Coach Fields. From 1980-1998 he was as assistant football coach as well as the head baseball coach. Rick and his wife of 23 years, Priscilla, both former Pioneer athletes, have a daughter Laura, and they reside in Olathe.
Coach Campbell begins his 8th season with the MNU staff in 2008 and will be coaching the offensive line. Coach Campbell was a First Team HAAC All Conference and NAIA All American lineman in 2000. He lives in Olathe with his wife Heather and their daughter McKenzie.
Coach Hubbard enters his 3rd year at MNU after coaching at the high school level. In 2004 Hubbard was an assistant defensive line coach at Northern Colorado. While playing for Coach Stugart, Hubbard was an NCAA All American defensive end in 2003. Hubbard is working on his master's degree at MNU and resides in Olathe.
Coach Quinn joined the Pioneer staff in 2006 as the quarterback coach. He will enter his 3rd season as the offensive coordinator for MNU. Prior to MNU, Coach Quinn played quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Bears, and Jacksonville Jaguars. He started his college ball at Tulane University, but transferred to Middle Tennessee State of his second year of college. Coach Quinn brings yet more professional experience to the Pioneer's staff. Quinn lives in Overland Park with this wife, Casi, and their four children: Dakota, Colton, Aidan, and Ellie.
Coach Rosegrant returns this season for his 4th year as the special team coordinator. Coach Rosegrant has been part of the MNU staff for 8 seasons, having also coached defensive backs. Coach Rosegrant played college football for MNU as a defensive back from 1990-1993. Rosegrant lives in Olathe and has two daughters, Blakely and Ally.
Coach Meinke comes back to MNU for a 6th year. Prior to coaching and MNU he coached high school baseball and football at Gardner Edgerton & MVHS. Meinke played football and baseball for MNU from 1994-1997 and was part of two bowl games & college world series, respectively. Coach Meinke is currently the Recreation Director at College Church on the Nazarene. Meinke resides in Olathe with his wife Angie and their two kids: Mya & Jackson.
Coach Perry begins his first year as an assistant coach for MNU. Perry was a 3-time all HAAC wideout and was named 2006 HAAC Offensive Player of the Year. That season he had 87 receptions for 919 yards and 10 touchdowns in 10 games.
Coach Fulson begins his first season on the coaching staff for MNU. He will work with the defensive backs. Fulson joins the coaching staff after a standout career as a defensive back for the Pioneers.
