Men's Cross Country Coaching Staff


Curt Ammons
Head Coach

Coach Ammons has been the head Cross Country and Track coach for over fifteen years. He has been involved in both for over 40 years at either the high school or collegiate level. Coach Ammons has also served as a longtime football assistant at MidAmerica, serving as the Defensive Coordinator for 11 years. Coach Ammons' teams have been the most successful in school history.

Curt is also an accomplished painter in his spare time. He has sold his paintings to raise money for track scholarships. He was also instrumental in helping raise the money for the new tartan track surface on the campus of MNU. Coach Ammons also had the honor of serving as a coordinator of an Olympic training site for runners in the Atlanta Olympics in the summer of 1996.

Curt is married to Sandra, his wife of 42 years. Sandra is the manager of the Pioneer Bookstore on campus. They have two grown children and four grandchildren.
