Men's Soccer Falls to 1-Seed

The Pioneers ran into the NAIA's top-ranked team on Thursday and fell to Azusa Pacific 3-1 at the National Tournament. APU led 1-0 at halftime, then got a goal early in the second half to stretch the lead. A PK put the Pioneers in a huge hole in the 55th minute. Senior Jose Sibrian's goal late in the game gave MNU a spark, but the 3-0 hole was too much to overcome. "Azusa would've been hard to beat even if we were fresh," says Coach Wardlaw. "Having to play two games in 24 hours was a tough road. But I was very proud of the effort and class our guys showed tonight."
