Kevin Steele, Director of Athletics at California Baptist University, will become MidAmerica Nazarene University's seventh Director of Athletics August 1. Jason Drummond, Vice President for University Advancement, announced the hiring Monday. Steele will succeed Ron Hill, who retires June 30 after serving in that role for 12 years.

The Lady Pioneers went 1-1 in the NCCAA Central Region playoffs.  MNU played a tough Mid-America Christian from Oklahoma City in the first game.  Freshman Brooke Garlow opened the scoring with a shot from inside the box that pushed into the corner.  Rebecca McAndrew assisted on the goal.  The second goal came late in the game...

The Lady Pioneers defeated Mid-America Christian 2-0 on Friday. The win earns MNU a spot in the NCCAA Regional Final to be played Saturday at noon vs. Dallas Baptist University, who defeated Central Christian 1-0.

Freshman forward Alyssa Howard was named First Team All Conference this week.  The Rossville, KS native had 17 goals and 8 assists to lead the Lady Pioneers to a 10-7-1 record and a trip to the NCCAA Regional Tournament. Howard was HAAC Player of the Week twice, and NAIA Region V Player of the Week once during her spectacular first season at MNU.
