A Vision for Chapel

As a Christian community, we are committed to making worship of God the central focus of our lives. Chapel is a place to meet God surrounded by our peers. A place to hear His voice, to discover His will and to embrace His mission.

We come with different needs, considerate of those around us, come expecting to be challenged, inspired, comforted and renewed. Close your books and set your assignments aside. Open your heart and mind to the loving Father. Let the Holy Spirit speak to you during these times together.

May our love for God and for each other be the basis of unity at our university.

All chapel services to be held at College Church of the Nazarene. Chapel time: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted. Chapel schedule

Discipling
[ Prayer Meeting ] Through a variety of methods, MNU's spiritual formation team encourages students in their daily walk with God. One of the most effective is the use of student discipleship leaders on each hall in the dorms. Servings as a spiritual center in the hall, these committed students lead weekly times of prayer, testimony and devotions. The discipleship leaders also meet regularly for training and accountability.

Students also have the opportunity to take advantage of small groups. In these small, committed groups of 5 to 6 students, they work through specific course materials written for the college-age young adults.

In addition, students may join regular prayer meetings, and fall and spring spiritual life retreats. Through it all the chaplain's office and the spiritual formation team work closely with the student-elected Vice President for Student Ministries.
